Angela Spera is a writer, marketing coordinator and comedian based in Brooklyn, NY.

Her passion for creating memorable content emerged during her +4 years role as Marketing Coordinator for what was, at the time, the largest Gymboree Play & Music franchise in the country. This role filled her days with many hours of email marketing, event planning, poster and flier creation and social media.

In 2012 Spera began training at the Peoples Improv Theater where she met writing partner Laura Lane. Together they debuted their first show, This Is Why You're Single, in October 2013 and opened the 2014 New York City Sketch Festival. The show has since returned for various iterations around New York City and in Washington, D.C.

This Is Why You're Single the book was published by Adams Media (Simon & Schuster) on December 8, 2015 and is currently being developed as a TV series with Thank You Brain! Productions. The book has since been published in the U.K., Australia, and the Czech Republic. This Is Why You're Single's comedy podcast launched in August 2015 with the HeadGum network. It has repeatedly hit the iTunes top 10 comedy podcast rankings and has garnered over 1 million plays.

Additional writing experiences include entertainment reporting for Wetpaint.com, contributing jokes for season 5 of TruTV's show Billy on the Street and story producing on Seriously.TV's upcoming Start Talkin' with Scott Rogowsky.
